Mavuno Project Supports Vulnerable Pupils through Needy Children Program Mavuno Project recently organized an activity to distribute school basic materials to children supported through the Needy Children Program. The event took place on 1 February at the Mavuno Primary Center located in Mabila, Kagera Region.
The distribution exercise started at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday and involved a total of 120 children who received essential school materials to support their education. Among the items distributed were exercise books, counter books, school uniforms, pens, pencils, shoes, and toothbrushes. These materials are intended to help children from vulnerable families continue with their studies without facing difficulties in accessing basic school requirements.
Speaking during the event, the Needy Children Program Coordinator from Mavuno Project explained that the distribution of school materials is part of the organization’s commitment to supporting children in need.
The coordinator noted that providing these materials will enable the pupils to continue their education more comfortably and focus on their academic performance.
One of the pupils, speaking on behalf of other beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to Mavuno Project for the support. She thanked the organization for providing the materials and stated that having the necessary school supplies would help them improve their academic performance. She also promised that the pupils would work hard in their studies and perform well in their examinations.
Parents who attended the event also appreciated the support provided by Mavuno Project. One parent explained that the assistance will reduce the financial burden on families, as the money that would have been used to buy school materials can now be directed to other important household needs such as purchasing food and meeting other family requirements.
Through the Needy Children Program, Mavuno Project continues to support vulnerable children by ensuring they have access to the basic educational materials needed to remain in school and succeed in their studies.
